As the weeks and months passed after the pandemic was officially declared it became clear organizations were being forced to adapt to this unforeseen tragedy by going into survival mode. Not all of them were successful as many thousands of companies, businesses and non-profit organizations had to close their doors.

This month marks the one-year anniversary of the onslaught of the global pandemic. I am not sure this is a very happy occasion. It has been a year like no other in my experience. That is probably true for most of us.

There is no end in sight to the global pandemic as new variations surface and the vaccination rollout is off to a rocky start. The darkness of the alternate reality that has been playing out in the US is deeply unsettling.
