Sundance Consulting takes an integrated and pragmatic approach to making change work in organizations. No grandiose new theories, just a practical common sense framework that incorporates four essential competencies organizations must master in order to find their way through change.

Strategy
Strategy is the clarification of choices that determines the nature and direction of any organization. Strategic leadership incorporates strategic thinking into the ongoing progress of the organization, ensuring it is at the foundation of every organizational activity.

Change
Change is the act of making something different. Where Strategy answers “why” and “where”, Change answers “what”. Effective change leadership involves the planning and implementation of all details and activities required to ensure the change will actually take place in the real world and not just on paper.

Transition
Transition is the internal experience we go through when something outside of us changes. Leading people through Transition requires intentional efforts to help people disengage from the old world, navigate through the confusing in between time to ensure a successful integration.

Communication
Communication is the act of transmitting information between individuals or groups. When it comes to change related Communication, there must be information developed and shared throughout the organization regarding the Strategy, the Changes, and what is being done to lead the organization through Transition. Engaging communication throughout a changing organization requires an effective and enduring connection between the senior leaders, the project teams and all the first level supervisors.

When leaders utilize this integrated approach to leading change, they significantly increase the organization’s ability to succeed on all levels for successful change.
